Guest moderators are only invited to join us where there is common ground, or where they can provide additional experience and advice beyond the core team’s expertise. No financial or other incentives are ever received by any of the @AfNutr team for guest moderator participation in a chat, including the sharing of resources or events mentioned within a chat.
Guest moderators always tweet from their own personal or business account, so that it is clear and transparent who is sharing information. Additionally, they are introduced at the beginning of the chat and in the promotion of the chat so the role in which they are partaking in the chat is made clear to all participants, particularly when the guest is using a personal twitter account.
The @AfNutr Twitter Chats are run voluntarily with the aim of creating a friendly platform, which is open to all individuals and organisations to discuss and share nutrition related information, research and guidelines. The chats provide free AfN Endorsed CPD for Registered Nutritionists and Registered Associate Nutritionists and are a supportive means of networking with other professionals. We do not receive any sponsorship or financial support from businesses or other organisations as we put great value on being able to provide independent evidence-based information to the public and other professionals.
